I chose the boob as a metaphor for nourishment. Breast milk is filled with tons of beneficial vitamins and newborn babies rely on its robust sustenance to give them a strong foundation for optimum health. As a mother nurses her young she has to be still and be present. Her focus is naturally drawn to her child and to the moment; to what is important. The helpless baby in her arms. An entity fully reliant on her. You know in those moments that life is deep and precious. For some mothers, this can be a mystical experience. I remember it was for me.
I chose the boob as a metaphor for nurturing. I am a natural born nurturer. I love taking care of my family and my friends. It makes me feel good on the inside. As the old saying goes, it is better to give than to receive. When our focus moves away from ourselves and onto others I think we can experience a richer and fuller and more meaningful life. Selfishness doesn’t look good on anyone. If you are feeling down may I recommend finding someone to help and watch your day and your mindset get a little brighter.
